Developing best-in-class sustainability programmes
We designed three new sustainability apprenticeship programmes and a suite of additional modular products by conducting discovery, developing programme wireframes, building comprehensive learner journeys, and confirming programme products for development.
We were engaged by an Ofsted outstanding training provider to develop three new apprenticeship programmes under the corporate responsibility and sustainability standard, as well as market differentiated bolt-on products for added value.
To deliver best-in-class apprenticeship programmes we:
Apprenticeship programmes
- Conducted initiation and competitor analysis sessions, reviewing current delivery models, job roles and apprenticeship standards, surfacing gaps and emerging sustainability themes to shape a best-in-class programme design.
- Developed high-level programme wireframes, grouping indicative content into proposed courses, sequencing assessment and defining interactive pedagogical approaches, then engaging stakeholders to test, gather feedback and iterate design.
- Built out from the agreed wireframe, creating a detailed learner journey covering all knowledge, skills and behaviours, additional content and pathways, specifying assessment artefacts and defining targeted learning outcomes.
- Agreed content and assessment formats and approval criteria, produced development and submission plans, created and refined all assets to agreed standards, and mapped future maintenance requirements for ongoing compliance.
Additional programme products
- Conducted a discovery phase mapping opportunities for crosscutting, engaging additional programme products, identifying where they could sit across programmes and pathways whilst prioritising development according to key customer sectors.
- Experimented with modular design principles, structuring additional programme products as building blocks with core components serving all programmes and bolt-ons tailored to specific industries and roles to maximise flexibility and relevance.
- Confirmed the final set of additional programme products for development, designing principally for learner engagement, developing interactive features and ensuring integration into the client’s full programme offering.
